79 days later...

Day 79: 83.55 kg Day 0: 96.30 kg

147.069 km run, 30 weight trainings, -12.75 kg in 79 days

Since I stopped writing daily reports, you haven't been privy to everyday occurrences like Saturday's party, when we managed to flash and honk at a police car disguised as an Opel Astra in Alkotmány Street, which happened to have five policemen inside. Then, not noticing this, we drove past them while adhering strictly to the speed limit (95km/h). Or about the fact that I lost my voice for 3 days and coughed up things that probably already have a specific name, and I think I also had a fever. Of course, because of this, I couldn't even start the Vivicitta race. But staying on the topic of workouts, one day at the gym, two black guys were getting dressed next to me. I looked down, and what I saw... well, I'm not kidding, but I didn't dare take off my underwear in front of them... So these things happen in the city center, but now that I've described the most important events of my last week and a half, I'd like to move on to the sports summary of the penultimate week. I'm tired. I've been doing workouts and following a diet for 79 days. 79 days doesn't seem like a long time, but even this short period was enough to change everything around me and rewrite everything. Be it feelings or thoughts from the past, current events, but primarily the future I couldn't even imagine last New Year's Eve.

I'm talking about exactly what I wrote in the Evolution Revolution and From Babel to Watt motivational posts. My first big lifestyle change program is slowly coming to an end, and when I run my last kilometers in 10 days, I think I can confidently say that I have become a completely different person than I was on January 12th. These few months of training and self-denial have instilled in me character traits that my parents, schools, any workplace, or even life itself or the disciplining machine called society couldn't instill in me over 28 years. Pushing my limits, setting those bars sometimes unrealistically high and then jumping over them, overcoming obstacles – that's what gives me backbone and opens doors for me... Read the two posts if you don't understand what I'm talking about. As I mentioned, I'm tired as this comes to an end. I'm really starting to feel the strain of these 3 months; my muscles and body are getting exhausted and can no longer regenerate as well as they did even a few weeks ago. When I wrote that you shouldn't do training programs longer than 10-14 weeks because it's unnecessary, this is exactly what I meant. The people I'm on speaking terms with, who know what I'm doing and know about the existence of the blog, usually ask the following question: "When the program is over, what will you do then? Will you start eating again?" I love these questions, and it feels so good that people always grasp the essence of things...

....my answer is no, I won't be applying for a loyalty card at Burger King after day 89, because by completing this program, I've also changed my lifestyle. Which doesn't mean I'll be living on salads and drinking water like a plant from now on, but simply that in the future I'll pay attention to when, how much, and what I eat. I will eat pizza, poppy seed pasta, and chocolate, yes. But not daily like an idiot, but once every 2-3 weeks, and alongside that, I'll regularly do some kind of physical activity at least 3 times a week. A radical program like the one I just did, or what Petra and Dani are doing, only needs to be endured once, but it definitely needs to be endured. After that, it just needs to be maintained with the learned conscious eating and regular exercise, which includes so-called "junk food" if eaten wisely. If not, then good luck, and you can start the path of tears all over again, or give up on the whole thing and get a dog. In my case, it will be a little different, because after day 89, I will take a 1-month break for my muscles to rest and prepare for the next period of exertion, which I will start at the end of May. Until then, during my rest, I mean 3-4 runs a week, and I think I'll try cross-fit training or some kind of martial art.

And what is this bright future? We have the web reality, summer is upon us, we'll shoot a really cool fitness instructional video, which we might even be able to release on DVD, and if everything goes as planned, at the end of the year I'll start writing the LifeTiLt book, which will be based on this blog, and the experiences of Petra, Dani, and the SummerProject over three months. Of course, it's not out of the question that huge setbacks will follow one after another, but in any case, if that happens, you'll be the first to know, as besides my parents, Ákos, and the girls, the blog is the only stable point in my life that will accompany me on my journey in the future.

So I've rounded the final bend this week. The last 10 days will be joyful workouts. I've planned 3 gym sessions, I'll run 30km, go to a cross-fit training, and on the last day, I'll run up Gellért Hill to the Citadel, to the person holding the pen. There, I'll take a picture, put on Walking on the milky way, and I'll be damn proud of myself, moved to tears.

Speaking of stable points in my life. My girlfriend and I broke up because apparently I'm unreliable, unserious, and didn't pay enough attention to her or something like that. I don't know because I wasn't paying attention at the time, but in any case, I'd like to dedicate this song to her as a farewell...
