Dani

Dani

I'd like to introduce Dani, who will be the next participant on the LifeT!Lt blog for the next 3 months or so. Dani has been struggling with weight problems for over 15 years, and now he has finally decided that he wants to radically change his life before he finds himself at 32 having to live on blood pressure and cholesterol medication and taking all that crap for the rest of his life. Dani is 29 years old, 176 cm tall and weighs 110.2 kg. This is a lot. Because it means Dani has more than 30 kg of excess weight, or rather 35 kg. As in all cases when I start working with someone individually, meaning from the first day of the program until the last, they can call me anytime even at 2 AM if needed, even meeting me at Blaha (a square in Budapest), well, with Dani, I also had to make sure he was truly ready for the tough 12 + 1 weeks ahead, primarily, as always, mentally. So, when he approached me about working together, after our first conversation, I gave Dani 10 days to think about what he was getting into, and if he was still sure about it, then we would set a date and start, but then, damn it, there's no turning back, you have to do it and move forward. No pizza, no drinking, no chasing whores and coke in Las Vegas. He has to confront himself, all his weaknesses, and consciously break with the unhealthy lifestyle he's led so far.

Many things will hinder Dani, and he doesn't really know what he's signed up for yet, although I feel I've prepared him for what was necessary. He can fail at many things, primarily because for many years he lived at a certain rhythm, which he now has to disrupt and rethink a few things about his entire lifestyle, because what he did or thought was good, we see the result of it at the beginning of the blog. He has to change mentally, in his thinking, and put his entire accustomed daily routine on a completely different foundation if we want to achieve success, and damn it, we really do. So the first and biggest obstacle to overcome must be the reinstallation of his daily life. The second and biggest pitfall I see is his wife, because Dani is married. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with Dani's wife specifically, but as a person who is a woman, and by virtue of her status, spends most of her days with Dani. Of course, she assured Dani of her support in everything, but women have a certain way of thinking that we need to understand, know how to handle, and every man who has a woman beside him needs to handle. I experienced this primarily with my mother, which I call the deadly embrace of the caring loving hand. Which looks like this: if the woman decides, based on her subjective female emotionally based decision, that the beloved man, lover, child has dieted enough, then he shouldn't suffer so much, so this one cookie, "I bought this chocolate for you," "I made your favorite, because you're so clever" foods that, according to the female brain's calculation, fit into any strict diet, she will certainly put it in front of the guy, and the saddest thing is that she even expects you to eat it because she made it for you out of love. They don't even understand why this is a problem, what they are doing with it, and that they are only pushing their loved one back into the pit from which he is just barely climbing out with enormous suffering. I'm primarily talking about women's caring, man-feeding instinct here. We all know our mothers' phone calls in which two questions are stable and constant. Where are you? and What did you eat today? Any boy, especially an only child, knows exactly what I'm talking about.

This is the biggest and most dangerous obstacle, and I've prepared Dani for it thoroughly. Because there will surely come a moment when Dani goes home after losing 10 kg, and Kata, his wife, will be waiting for him with Dani's favorite food. Emotional blackmail, coupled with all the disgusting female tactics designed to induce guilt. I know this will happen because I see the same thing with my mother every day. How many times do you think my mother tried to sabotage my diet, which has now lasted 71 days? Not out of malice, not at all, but, I repeat, due to the oldest female instinct, the instinct to feed men, which we even call the mother's milk code, and for which we can never be old enough for women not to retain it. How many times has she left chocolate bars for me, how many times has she called to say she made poppy seed pasta for me, and that I should come over and eat something because I look like I'm anorexic? She knows exactly what I can and cannot eat, but somehow it always ends up with a fully packed 1.5 liter Nestea and it even got to the point where she once smuggled in cheese and bacon flavored puffed wheat. Damn, I didn't even know such a thing existed. But I'll tell you the best part, because this really doesn't exist. At the beginning of my diet, I had a day when I ate lean cottage cheese with tomatoes for breakfast and for a mid-morning snack. What does my mother do then? I come home and there are 10!!! giant spotted cottage cheese bars in my fridge, saying that she brought me cottage cheese now. I very rarely cry, but it happened right there in front of the fridge.

This went on for days, until the day came when my mom brought over a whole baking pan of Milanese macaroni, but damn it, she called me 3 times that day to come over and eat some of it because, you know, she MADE IT FOR ME. I said no, but by then I was damn angry, because I was in the middle of a very strict diet. So what did my mother do? She comes over, rings the doorbell with the pan of macaroni in her hand, saying she brought it over for me, and then, with her mouth turned down in a sob, she asks at the door, "Why are you doing this to me and WHY DON'T YOU LOVE ME????????" Just like that. Well, that was the point when enough was enough. I took the pan, invited her into the apartment, and poured the whole thing, pan and all, into the trash in front of her. Now women will surely gasp, asking how I could be such a jerk and how I could behave like that towards my mother. Yeah, as if that would determine anything. I love my mother, she is the most important person in my life, and I'll go further, she's the only woman I trust, but damn it, every woman around us who loves us men does this, and food is a particularly sensitive point for them. Because that's how women are. They are unable to accept that this is not about them now, that they have no say in this, and that they cannot participate in THIS, cannot be a part of it. Or rather, they could. They have only one task, and that is nothing other than not to badger the guy, in this case, Dani. Not to present him with the knife on a tray in the form of a lovingly prepared meal that could ruin the whole program, but simply to stand aside in this one thing, because there will still be plenty of other areas in married life where they can participate, where they can take away our dreams and tyrannically suppress and suffocate them. So I ask every woman whose boyfriend, husband, lover, father, child embarks on a diet program, I ask those women the same thing I usually ask God when I embark on something in life... Just this once, don't stand in our way.

Dani will have a few low points, and not giving up will require enormous effort from him. He can count on two people, and it's best to note and clarify this now. Himself, and me. No one else.

 Calorie Calculation and Data

Dani is 29 years old, 176 cm tall, and weighs 110.2 kg. He works as a middle manager, but honestly, I have no idea where, even though he told me. The main thing is that he has an office job, and when he needs to move, he does so by car. According to his body type, he is meso-endomorph, roughly 60-40.

Chest: 121 cm
Waist: 117 cm
Hips: 120 cm
Biceps: 41 cm
Thigh: 63 cm

Basal Metabolic Rate 15.3 x 110.2 + 679 = 2365 Kcal RMR 2365 / 24 =98.54 Kcal

RMR per hour: 98.54 Kcal

Dani's energy expenditure, including daily activities

7 hours of sleep 7 x 98 = 686 Kcal

0.5 hours of weight training 0.5 x 98 x 5 = 245 Kcal

0.5 hours of cardio training 0.5 x 98 x 2.7 = 132 Kcal

16 hours of daily activity with office desk work 16 x 98 x 1.4 = 2195 Kcal

Dani's daily calorie requirement: 3258 Kcal

With Petra, it was clear to me how much we should go under her calorie needs. But with Dani, the situation is completely different because here we are talking about an extremely large excess weight, and in order to adhere to the system of healthy weight loss, I had to rethink a few things. In cases of overweight exceeding 25 kg, the organs are subjected to extra heavy loads even on a perfectly average day. Especially the heart, the circulatory system, not to mention the pressure on the organs. According to my plans, we will scrape off 18-24 kg from Dani in 3 months. To achieve this weight loss, we need to work intelligently. I would compare it to when divers ascend from great depths. There, too, they can only do it carefully, level by level, to avoid decompression sickness due to pressure differences. I also wrote a diet and training plan, but this will change continuously, I think, among other things, because I need to assess Dani's physical condition, so this week, just like with Petra, will be a preparation week. They will learn the movements in the gym, and we will set the cardio load that is needed. Today we're going to the gym, tomorrow a running assessment at KSI, and of course continuous monitoring of Dani's condition. Runs adjusted to heart rate, blood pressure changes, and preparation for muscle loading in the gym. For the diet, I finally chose a 20% deficit, and then we'll see what else needs to be refined.

I decided on 5 workouts per week, which will consist of 3 weight training sessions and 2 runs, in addition to Dani also playing football. We will start the runs very carefully. In the first 2 weeks, 1500-2000 meters will be more than enough for Dani, I think. During the gym workouts, smaller weights with high rep counts will be ideal if we want to burn fat all over and stimulate muscle work.

We started the program with Dani today, and if all goes well, by mid-July we will achieve results that we can build on further, but let's not get ahead of ourselves, first let's survive the critical first 12 days. It's completely different working with a man, by the way. I was there for Dani's first shopping trip, I told him everything just like I did Petra, with the difference that Dani didn't ask stupid questions, I didn't want to cut his throat every minute because of unbelievably idiotic questions, we didn't go into the parking garage through the exit, he didn't ask me if he could eat honey after I'd been explaining for days that all forms of sugar are forbidden, but most importantly, we'll be able to progress in the program without any frills, because it won't take up most of the energy that a woman requires. Emotional support, managing the insane fluctuations of the emotional factor, and resolving complexes, to name just a few things.

Speaking of complexes. I want to tell all girls who have small breasts or are not satisfied with them, don't worry, there's no problem, because if you have small breasts but a good ass and you learn to suck properly, there will be no problem at all.
