DAY 14

There are questions in life that we can't answer, or it's simply impossible to answer them. For example, who is a bigger asshole, Henrik Havas or Péter Hajdú?

There's no good answer, because they are both repulsive scum, and the asshole-meter shows no significant difference between them.

But when it comes to us, the situation is quite different. We face a series of decisive questions almost every minute of our lives, and in most cases, we make the wrong decisions, or they are made over our heads.

Loneliness, deteriorating relationships, a hated job, our current lifestyle, our insignificant or perceived insignificant role in society are all the result of a bad decision or a wrong answer. In the last few days, I've become uncertain. I asked myself, is it worth doing all this training thing? What kind of salvation do I expect from it? Is this the right answer to my current problems, that I will look better, that I will have more girlfriends, that I will have an advantage over many of my fellow human beings? This is an illusion, my friends, a fleeting sparkle. To base anything on this would be a fatal mistake, leading to a dark, deep pit and certain unhappiness. So why do we do it, what's the point? Everyone should settle the answers and motivation within themselves, or read this article for a possible answer. This time can be spent in other ways, it might even be more useful, but certainly not healthier. But anyway. How much more sense does anything in life make if we break it down and examine what we are currently dealing with.

In 2009, a friend of mine did a similar program, he explicitly prepared for the summer, and especially for Sound. Gym, running, 100 km bike rides. In his life, this period is considered the big life boom. The four days of Sound came, sculpted muscles, athletic build, everything was there, and he expected something in return for the training. Days and weeks passed, but nothing happened. He did make out with two girls, but every Schönherz asshole is capable of that after the fifth beer. Especially after four festival days. The guy was completely broken. We were just working out, I saw that something was terribly wrong, I asked him, what's wrong with you, you're completely messed up (mentally). He said he's fed up with training, it's all crap, Sound didn't turn out the way he thought, his whole year so far has been a disappointment. I told him, you asshole, you won't get more girls or a better life from training here, but from approaching things with the right mindset. You don't need to train for this, it's just an external confirmation that you are mentally well. With training, you can only impress cheap whores, but why bother with them. Well, since then, the guy has become a senior financial manager, has an A-class car, and I laugh at how gold-digging women chase him. Everything is a matter of attitude.

My 14th day fell on the weekend, specifically Sunday. I don't like going to the gym on weekends, I don't know why, somehow the feeling of a day off is so much in the air on Sundays. I managed to recover from yesterday's grind, with a relaxed 9-hour sleep. Meeting the others at Oktogon at four, where else but in front of Burger King, so I had to time my workout accordingly.

It's leg day. This is the only day when I work exclusively on machines that only women use. After a while, if one spends a longer time in one place, one observes certain things. I notice more and more how cluelessly people train, without any basic knowledge. Yet, every form of physical exercise, but especially weight training, has a separate science built around it, and has become one of the most consciously cultivated activities. I see huge opportunities in this area, by the way. The workout went smoothly, as I cycle a lot in the mountains during the warmer months of the year, so my legs are strong, and I easily handle leg days working with heavier weights than average. Strong legs are essential for most ab and plain exercises, I thought I'd say.

Time passed, Ákos comes for me, we're going to Oktogon. We arrive 15 minutes late, nobody there except Csaba. Well, it's justified, Dave lives only 2 minutes from Oktogon, it's not significant. Phones, where the fuck is everyone, Pityu came to me because he can only park there, Laci is at Dave's, where is Gabriele?

"Oh shit, I can't go, I've been looking for my phone for two hours, and if you hadn't called me, I would never have known it was in the washing machine. I threw it in with my pants." We're talking about a lawyer.

We finally gather at half past four, six of us set off. Here comes the incomprehensible event of the day for me, because Laci, who I think earns the most among us, leaves his A6 and comes with Dave's company car, because Dave gets free gas anyway, and then he saves on gas costs. Do you understand? An A6! Anyway, we get to Kőbánya, full house… But crap. No choice, we're going to Mogyoród. Well, I won't prolong this any further, because I can't wait to write about how much I drove, like a hangar. I won the whole thing, which is great because everyone has had a license for at least 10 years, mine is much fresher than that, because I don't have one at all. HAHAHAHA.

  1. Bence 24,287 2. Ákos 24,893 3. Dave 25,120 4. Laci 25,259 5. Greguss 25,328 6. Pityu 26,156

Speaking of karting, Greguss and I were flagged down because we tore up the upholstery and machines, we literally went bumper car style. (Did you know that a go-kart is 1 Mihály?) By the time we got back to downtown, my spine, my wrist started to hurt, and my hip was totally bruised. Yes, these are the physical results of the 32-minute ride.

The evening ends at my place, now with fewer people. Tomorrow will be a run, then an evaluation of the second week and an analysis of the changes. Until then, some technical material for the workouts...
