DAY 24
Megosztás
I'm a little behind on writing my daily reports...
There were two reasons for this: one, I've been focusing on more detailed, professional articles in the past few days, and also collecting background material for the next, longer, more analytical posts. The other reason is a complete lack of time.
I'm still doing my workouts, and I couldn't cheat, because it would immediately become apparent during the weekly summaries that something was wrong. Preparations for the Vital TV recordings are also underway; if all goes well, filming will take place within weeks. I planned a six-part series, and then we'll see what comes of it. What can be considered a bigger change in the life of the blog is that in the future it will contain much more useful information for women. Since women's training, metabolism, and nutrition are completely different areas, I need to read up on them, gather information, but I'm also constantly talking to Tomi. On Sunday, for example, we'll talk exclusively about women's lifestyles for an hour and a half.
As for me, I'm on day 24, which means that today I'm ditching the radical part of the diet and starting what I've already written about before, but I'll write about it again in the weekly summary. It was high time for a change, because I was starting to get really fed up with that diet. Edy, for example, said that he completely lost his appetite just reading through it. I enjoyed its beneficial effects for 24 days.
BREAKING. I'm starting preparations for Vivicitta, so I'll be placing more emphasis on running days. I plan for this program to end around March 20, and from then on, I'll only focus on running. My next and final day in the third week will be day 25, when I will specifically run the Vivicitta distance, but not just the 12 km, but its official route.

Day 23
Shoulder and triceps day. My whole body is throbbing from the 10 km run on day 22. In the mornings, I feel a bit exhausted; I notice that it takes longer and longer after waking up to become human. A female acquaintance, Eve, who will be linked to several stories now, started the 90-day diet, which in my opinion is the biggest bluff in the world. The essence of this cure is that there are 4 days: fruit, protein, carbs, and one more, but I can't remember which one (starch), not that it matters. After two months, she gained a kilo. I said, congratulations. Everyone should really forget this 90-day bullshit. It goes against all human reason, besides doing absolutely no good for the body, and weight regain is almost guaranteed. Well, Eve reads the blog and supports everything I do. It feels good. We went to Lidl, and she asked me to pick out foods for her because she didn't know which ones were for dieting. I've only told her 60 times that it doesn't matter. She told me what she had in mind, and I kept putting all the crappy stuff back on the shelf, but in the end, it all came together. We're at the checkout, and suddenly two bags come towards me. I ask, what's this? Two bags of chocolate balls, but the most extreme kind I think you could get in the store. The two 100-gram chocolates contained a total of 1170 kcal... So once again. I went there to help her pick out normal foods. Then she says she's unhappy, and I can see on her face that she really thinks this is fine and she's just absolved herself. Shouldn't I be annoyed?
We have to hurry, because tonight Ákos has a big room rearrangement, and I also have to work out before that. We're having dinner with the family at Eve's place; they know I'm on a program, so I can choose the food. Steamed salmon, a little shrimp and salad. I prefer to make the salad myself to be sure. Everything is great, THEN Eve puts four different dressings on the table. And then here, engine room, stop. A damn big stop. It's useless to eat good quality diet foods if you pour dressing on them; it's like ordering a pizza at 1 AM. 70% of dressings and mayonnaise are fat. A huge carb bomb, the dressing itself can have 3 times as many calories as what we're eating. On this basis, you might as well eat butter with a teaspoon. It wouldn't be much more harmful than this dressing thing.
I get down to the gym, but at the worst possible time, because it's 5:30 PM, and the gym is buzzing. This is when every machine is occupied, and there's a waiting list. Well, I'm lucky, because this is the day when I mostly work with free weights. I'd warm up, but even the arm ergometer is occupied, even though I thought no one else uses it besides me. Okay, then treadmill. There are 8 treadmills, and of course, they are all occupied. I really hate this situation, but eventually, one treadmill became free. 9 minutes of mountain running. I didn't even sweat, and my heart rate didn't go above 120. I couldn't highlight anything special from the workout, except that this day was also ripe for a level up. I'm curious about my next week, because I've increased the weights every day. I plan to do the same on tomorrow's leg day.
After training, we went to Ákos's place, and got rid of a few tons of unnecessary junk, from 2004 tax returns to university notes. We even found a Tamagotchi, and the animal asked if it should put it on Vatera. I said, aren't you bothered by those 9 bags of trash behind you? Just throw them out, damn it. We managed to fill three bins with all sorts of crap. The greatest moment of the day was when I found the little prick's foreign exchange reserves in an envelope, hahhhh. He had been sneaking around for years about where he kept it. The room will be pretty good, but that's enough for today; the bins will be emptied tomorrow, which means they'll have to be packed again. By the way, we're talking about a 24-apartment building, and for 3 days, only we packed things into them. I'll be curious about the next general meeting.
Day 24
I got home at midnight, but instead of sleeping, I wrote the first article on conscious nutrition. So I started the day with four hours of sleep. In the morning, I noticed while showering that I had started to get leaner. The muscles on my arms are becoming more and more defined, and I'm just waiting for the first two abs on my stomach; if those pop out, I'm going to throw a huge welcome party in Ákos's new apartment.
There's a slight problem with the new diet. I need to go shopping for it. I completely forgot this part, so tomorrow I'm going to the Hunyadi or Lehel market. It's leg day today, and I've noticed that my legs have become very strong. I hadn't done leg workouts for years, but despite that, people in the gym came up to me and asked what I was doing to have such muscular calves and legs. Genes, damn it, natural ability. I really feel the beneficial effects of this when running.
I'd talk about the workout too, but we're currently assisting with the usual daily malfunction of tram lines 4 and 6. After 20 minutes, they solve the problem. I warm up with a 10-minute bike ride and start leg day. I always feel so silly when I work out on these leg machines. I was just thinking about when I last saw a guy besides me working out on these machines. Let's just say it's not typical, which also shows how many people work out without any concept in a gym. My legs are brutally strong, I'm pressing 150 kg, I'm struggling, I'm not saying I'm not, but I feel that in 1-2 weeks it won't be enough. It has weights up to 200 kg, just to put it in perspective. My legs are completely swollen, I can barely stand on them. If possible, stretch your legs during every exercise on leg day. Quads, hamstrings, calves.
During the workout, I'm constantly thinking about tomorrow's 12 km. I'm afraid of hitting the first wall, so I'm trying not to set the bar too high. This is especially true for running, because if I run the distance tomorrow, I will have run 22 km this week, in two runs, and there will still be a swim afterwards.
The new diet will be more of a muscle-building regimen, but it will still cause some weight loss. This new diet provides more carbohydrates and thus more energy, so what used to be a task to survive is no longer enough to just get through; I need to increase the units, as this is the only way to progress. The first part of the 66-day process ended today. I lost almost 9 kilos in 24 days. In the next 18–22 days, I need to achieve further, but now minimal, weight loss, meaning about 2-3 kilos still need to come off in about 20 days, so that the last twenty days are exclusively about muscle shaping and final leanness. I'm curious how I will cope with this physically, emotionally, and mentally.
