3. RunT!lt Run September 1

19.....34.....?.....?.....?..... I've never played the lottery, but I've decided that after the fifth RunT!lt, I'll play the numbers of how many of us there were in the five runs, so don't screw with me, let's not have more than ninety people at any single time. Thanks…

I love RunT!lt. I love its atmosphere, its ambiance, and it's good to see how after the run you realize that you have so much more in you than you thought about yourselves, both physically and mentally. Better results are achieved in minutes, and running around Margaret Island, which was previously thought to be an impossible mission, becomes a reality for many after 1-2 kilometers of struggle. These events are like relationships, which either constantly develop, we invest energy and real enthusiasm, or they get stuck at a certain level, and then, as usually happens, they slowly start to erode and vegetate, and in the end, we realize that we've long gone back to jumping around in ballet, and the whole thing is only held together by the beauty of the past. My mother had an unforgettable saying years ago. I must have been 12-13 years old when she made a great remark about women, which has been a guiding ideology for me ever since. "There are two types of women in a relationship. The one who supports you, and the one who takes from you. Only enter a relationship that gives, supports, and inspires." My mother was right, and this can be applied to every single area of life. It's true for LifeT!lt and it's true for RunT!lt too, because when the blog no longer offers anything new for you or there are no longer any useful posts, then feel free to leave it because there will be no reason to read it further. It's pointless to reminisce about the past and stay because of the "it was good back then" feeling, and it wouldn't move you forward. I didn't create RunT!lt by chance, because when the intellectual ammunition runs out or the whole thing turns into a self-justifying, self-repeating wank, there will be an event that carries on this whole spirit, but only as long as it has a good effect on your development. That's why I try to constantly develop RunT!lt. In the first step, the groups were formed, which was a really cool innovation, then the birth of goals within the groups, so that there is a place and a reason for you to improve...

At the 3rd RunT!lt run, there will be 3 innovations. The first is that, in addition to individual motivations, the fastest runners in groups A and B will receive separate awards. The second is that, for the first time, while running together with the others, we will be looking at women's times in a separate category, meaning the girl who runs around the island the fastest will also be awarded. The third is a kind of temporary beta version, as I will be running with Laura after group A starts, because Laura still has trouble running around the island without walking, so whoever wants to can come with us. As you can see, the prize is a Kalenji running top, but before we go any further, let's have a conversation.

                 Group A                        Group B                              Women

IMPORTANT. Everyone should bring a watch, stopwatch, anything with which you can measure your own time, so that you have a reference point, a time to beat for your later runs. If you've been before, try to beat your previous time, and watch each other, find the group or partner with whom you can run the distance at the same pace, but still pushing each other. If the other person is faster than you, let them go, because a pace much faster than yours will kill you within a few hundred meters, and then comes the walking. The RunT!lt record, by the way, is 22:04.

Categories

Group A, under 25 minutes. This will be the royal category, where the real runners will start. Running 5350 meters in under 25 minutes requires serious physique and fitness. Running 4:30-4:40 per kilometer for 5 km deserves huge respect, especially if you can maintain this killer pace throughout.

Group B. Under 30 minutes. Most of us will be here. To run around the island in under 30 minutes, you need to be able to run 5:30-5:50 per kilometer, which is easily achievable for an average fit person. If you are overweight, smoke, or haven't run for at least half a year, it's better not to push this group.

Group C, under 35 minutes. There's no shame at all in starting in this group; in fact, I'd be the happiest if only 20% of Budapest's population could run around the island in this amount of time. This group will consist of those who will find it difficult to complete the distance, and not because they are physically incapable. The biggest inhibiting factor will be mental, because those who start here, who run the island in between 30 and 35 minutes, are either not yet able or find it very difficult to step out of their comfort zone, and still experience the challenge of sports as suffering, not as an easily surmountable obstacle. In this group, everything I talk about on this blog comes to the fore: you have to overcome your own weaknesses. Everyone should be able to run 5 km, no matter how sedentary their lifestyle; at most, they'll be so exhausted by the distance they'll shit themselves, but they can run it, and at the finish line, that uplifting feeling will come: yes, damn it, I did it.

Group D. Over 35 minutes. Those who start here will likely stop and complete the rest of the distance by walking, because it's clear to everyone that there's no stopping, waiting for the bus, and taking it to the finish line. Anyone who stops MUST still reach the finish line. If it's by walking, then by walking, but the point is that anyone who comes to RunTilt must move around the island one way or another, but they must complete the distance. This is the only rule that applies to everyone.

Group D will start first, and the others will follow every 2 minutes, logically C, then B, then A. This will be cool because if you misjudged yourself, you can still switch and join a slower group because after you catch up with a group and can't keep up, you can join them. In the first 2 groups, it's clearly a race, but in the 3rd and 4th groups, the goal should be to reach the finish line, meaning don't leave each other unless someone stops. Push each other, because that's why you're coming down here, to move together and hopefully everyone goes home with a sense of achievement and achieves a result compared to themselves that makes them say on the way home, "Well, damn, I wouldn't have thought that of myself..."

UPDATE

5 shakers will also be distributed after the competition. I don't know yet how and who will get them, but I'll figure it out by tomorrow. I thought we could draw lots or give them to the second-place winners in groups A and B, and the first-place winners in groups C and D and the women's category, but I might just toss them up and whoever catches them gets to keep them. In this case, women who dive for bridal bouquets at weddings have an advantage...

You can shake your drink in this before the party. 8 cl white rum, 4 cl dark rum, 4 cl Stroh rum (80%), 1 dash of Angostura (I have no idea what that is), orange juice, pineapple juice, crushed ice, and you shake it. Oh, and you can also drink protein shakes from it.
