4.RunTilt Run September 25

Before I get to the run, I'd like to welcome the four employees of the National Tax and Customs Administration and the 11 additional employees of APEH who have liked my blog on Facebook in the last 2 weeks. This interest is truly kind, and I want to reassure everyone that the apartment renovation last year, as well as the blog redesign costs, were all taxed without error.

Regarding the 4th RunTilt, with the previous run, we crossed the critical mass, above which I feel I can no longer organize the run by myself. Therefore, and to make the organization smoother, I will have helpers for the first time – 4 girls, one of whom is Laura – who will assist in organizing the event. So far, every RunTilt has had some development, drawing from the experiences of previous runs, and this time will be no different. At the start of the 3rd RunTilt, we were over 60, but now it seems very likely that we could easily be 80, and here, breaking into groups will no longer be as simple as at the first run, where a campfire-like class trip atmosphere prevailed among the 19 people who showed up. This is where Charlie's Angels come in. Each group will receive a wristband and a girl who will record the names and times of the first 5 runners to finish within the group, and prizes will be awarded based on this. The girls will also help distribute the wristbands, as from now on, every member of each group will receive different colored wristbands, thus avoiding the confusion that occurred at the previous run. Group A will run with black, B with gray, C with white, and Group D with red wristbands...

Everyone starts in the group they want, but I suggest you realistically assess your fitness level and join the group that is most ideal for you. This way, there's a good chance that 4-6 person teams will form that can help each other complete the distance. Run with people who are moving at a similar pace to you, but let go of those who are faster than you, because a runner faster than you will definitely exhaust you within a few hundred meters with their pace. It is also very important that I broke up with my girlfriend you BRING A TIMER with you and time yourselves. The prizes will again be Kalenji running tops, with the slight difference that all gray Kalenji tops sold out in that filthy Decathlon in Soroksár, so I had to replace them with a Quechua type. These will be nicely labeled, by the way.

Prizes

Group A 1st place Black Kalenji top, 2nd place shaker

Group B 1st place Gray Quecha top, 2nd place shaker

Group C 1st place shaker

Group D 1st place shaker

Women's category 1st place white women's Kalenji top, 2nd place shaker

One more thing. The run starts at 6:00 PM, but I will be there from 5:00 PM. This is justified for several reasons. Among other things, because after the run, I'm unable to talk to everyone, and even if I can, I can't say more than 2-3 sentences to anyone, and I can't even pay proper attention during that short time. So, anyone who wants to talk to me, ask something, or perhaps just hand me a summons, can find me at the fountain from 5:00 PM.

September 25. Sunday 6:00 PM Margaret Island fountain.

Group A: under 25 minutes. This will be the elite category; the real runners will start here. Running 5350 meters in under 25 minutes requires serious physique and fitness. Running 4:30-4:40 per kilometer for 5 km deserves a hell of a lot of respect, especially if you can maintain this killer pace throughout.

Group B: under 30 minutes. Most of us will be here. To run the island circle in under 30 minutes, you need to be able to run 5:30 – 5:50 per kilometer, which is easily achievable for an average fit person. If you are overweight, smoke, or haven't run for at least half a year, you should probably not push for this group.

Group C: under 35 minutes. There's no shame at all in starting in this group; in fact, I'd be happiest if only 20% of Budapest's population could run around the island in this amount of time. This group will consist of those who will find it difficult to complete the distance, and not because they are physically incapable. The biggest inhibiting factor will be mental, because those who start here, those who run the island circle between 30 and 35 minutes, are not yet, or only with great difficulty, able to step out of their comfort zone, and they still perceive the challenge of sport as suffering, not as an easily overcome obstacle. In this group, everything I talk about in this blog comes to the forefront: you have to overcome your own weaknesses. Everyone should be able to run 5 km, no matter how sedentary their life is; at most, they'll be utterly exhausted and suffer through the distance, but they can run it, and at the finish line, they'll feel that uplifting sensation of "yes, damn it, I did it."

Group D: over 35 minutes. Those starting here are likely to stop and complete the rest of the distance by walking, because it's clear to everyone that there's no stopping, waiting for the bus, and getting to the finish line with it. Anyone who stops MUST reach the finish line. If it's by walking, then by walking, but the point is that anyone who comes down to RunTilt must go around the island one way or another and complete the distance. This is the only rule that applies to everyone.

Group D will start first, and the others will follow every 3 minutes, naturally Group C, then B, then A. This will be great because if you've misjudged yourself, you can still switch and join a slower group, because once you catch up to a group and can't keep their pace, you can join them. In the first 2 groups, it's clearly a competition, but in the 3rd and 4th groups, the goal should be to reach the finish line, meaning don't leave each other unless someone stops. Pull each other along because that's why you came here, to move together as a group and for everyone to ideally go home with a sense of achievement and a result that makes them say to themselves on the way home, "damn, I never thought I could do that..."

Stupid, I died laughing at this :))))))))))))))))))
