DAY 9

The fucked up day. After two days of doing nothing, the hamster wheel starts again, but be careful, rest days are very deceiving.

It's okay not to do anything, but you can easily get stuck in that state. So, your two or however many rest days shouldn't be about sleeping for 16 hours and then starting another tough week from a state of perfect idleness. It's a huge disservice to yourself, like jerking off three times before going to your girlfriend's place. One day of perfect nihilism is fine, but on the second day, you should mentally prepare for the next week.

Check your supplies. Food, vitamins, mineral water, everything you might need, get it or restock your pantry. As I mentioned, I was running low on meat, so I attacked Lehel Market (Beware of the fishmonger in the middle, they like to rip off customers).

At the bottom, 3kg of chicken breast fillet, at the top, 1kg of salmon and 1.5kg of sunfish. Milk, mineral water, vegetables for salad should always be at home. Whether we're dieting or not. As I mentioned, the fucked up day. I started the new week with great motivation. According to my schedule, I had a few fixed appointments, but it was okay, I had plenty of time to train. Good. Chest and biceps day, the most impressive muscles and also the hardest day. I arrive at the gym around five o'clock, warm-up, everything is great. I'm on the fourth exercise out of nine when I get a call asking where the hell I am. It's 5:41 PM, meaning I have a meeting in 19 minutes. DAMN IT. Yes, it happens sometimes, I forgot about this 6 PM meeting. I can't tell you how good it felt to stop exercising, sweaty, without a shower, with anabolics in my system - which I hadn't burned off with the workout - and head towards MOM Park.

It wasn't really that I was late that hurt, usually, those things don't bother me much. And it wasn't what the other party would think of my move, but that my training plan was disrupted. That hurt. Because I had abandoned that day, I had just finished my chest exercises, but there was still biceps and abs. There were two options: go back to training around 9 PM (yeah right) or let the whole thing slide and figure something out. Obviously, the first option is not feasible, because these workouts are structured with a warm-up, chest muscle exercises that gradually warm up the biceps, then abs when the body is already "moving," blood is flowing properly, and heart rate is steadily above 120-130. This is a chain, and by stopping halfway, it was broken. It's like cooking something, you're halfway done, then you stop, and continue 3 hours later. I'd be curious about the end result. Just in case, I'd definitely keep a bucket next to me. I had no other choice but to let the day slide, and I decided that there are 8 days, with two rest days, and this was now the first rest day. That's how it is. Tomorrow, chest and biceps day again, from the beginning. It's going to be tough because I already did the chest part. My chest will get a stronger pace now.

As for eating, well, that's becoming more and more of a pain, because the continuous, almost tasteless meals, the small and minimal carbohydrate portions have resulted in me not being hungry at all. In fact, I can't even eat the already small portions, even though I have to, I really have to. Training requires energy, which I get from these. I'm at the point where I almost have to force myself to eat. It's really time to switch to the new diet. Now, what else can I say after all this. I experience this day as a failure, it completely threw me off. I feel like Armstrong in 2003. (What a Tour that was, oh my God) He concentrates, pays attention, has the rhythm, then a fan with a bad testicle comes along and he falls. Thrown off. You just have to continue, that's it. Armstrong continued too, and the Yankee peasant won.

So tomorrow it's A-day again. I have a bit of a Groundhog Day feeling where the days always started over. This is a great movie, kids. Ideal for "come over and watch a DVD" evenings, then after you've fucked the love of your life (obviously), and rewound the 10 minutes you missed, you'll see a really cool movie.

Did you say the F word ? jew ?
