The Cycle

After I received the question five times in one hour on Formspring about what the Christmas program would be, because you might miss out on the fisherman's soup and devouring the candies from the tree, and that would truly be a terrible and huge disaster. I'm going to write a letter to UNICEF and WHO right away, asking them to drop some kind of social aid shipment here too. Hungarian people eat whether they need to or not, and there's no holiday or even a simple family gathering without institutionalized catering. Christmas is a special category in this regard, because there's truly everything on the table, and if someone doesn't eat then, most family members look at them as some kind of crazy idiot, not to mention the grandmothers' bloodshot, feeding eyes. Tilt will be one year old in a few minutes, and since the merry-go-round of time is almost complete, I feel it's timely to summarize the year and see what a full year looks like, viewed through the windows of the Lifetilt world. I've already written a few posts about this, because there was The Program, or the posts titled You Still Have Twenty Days, in which I specifically detailed how and when this should be done depending on life situation and period. Now I will describe, from January 1st to December 31st, how to time your program if you've joined the Lifetilt sect, and what to do if your 70 days fall into Easter, summer, or the currently very relevant Christmas family madness, the holiday of love...
Before I start, let's clarify a few things that I consider important to mention, because these questions have come up against me on all existing forums more than once. The program is always 70 days. Not 40, not 55, not 25, but 70 days. You can only deviate from this in one case: if you are more than 25 kg overweight, because then your program will be 90 days. 90 days is the maximum number of days, meaning you absolutely cannot do it for longer. Even if you still have excess weight after 90 days, you MUST stop and MUST rest your body for 1 month, during which the maintenance process begins, and then you can continue after 1 month. The program is based on a strictly followed diet and a minimum of 3, maximum 6 workouts per week. "I'll just start the diet" is not a program, but just another huge fog concocted by you, just as 4-5 workouts a week alone is not a program, but just ridiculous and pathetic floundering that only screws you over. If you only exercise and don't diet, women will become bulky unfeminine nobodies, and guys will become amorphous, pot-bellied, beer-guzzling blobs. Without a diet, workouts and supplements are worthless. If you just exercise and take protein and fat burners, you might as well eat an A4 sheet of paper, because that's about how much good it will do. I cannot stress this enough: diet is the beginning, the end, and everything, without which you are just torturing yourself for nothing.

Taking supplements can achieve more spectacular results, but significant changes can be produced even without them. Drinking protein shakes is currently the most essential nutrient source on Earth. I know many people are still afraid of protein shakes, but by that logic, you could also be afraid of your nightstand or hairdryer. However, there's one thing you can never and should never disregard, and that is taking vitamins during the program, but I can confidently say, even outside of it. These cannot be the equivalent of sawdust like Centrum, Actival, Cetebe, and other crappy stuff; that is, the vitamins available in pharmacies are absolutely worthless, and their only benefit is that you pay VAT on them, thus keeping the national economy moving. High-quality supplements will make your transformation more spectacular and ensure that you get the best out of yourself. Their boxes might not shine as brightly, but their content more than makes up for it, and unlike other manufacturers, they actually work.
The Cycle
The Lifetilt program has two peak periods, which we can call high seasons. These two periods are from January to May, and from September to mid-December. This 9-month period is when there's no messing around, no cheating, no getting drunk, no carousing at weddings, no getting trashed at bachelorette parties, no eating cake at birthdays, and last but certainly not least, no grandma's cookies or the pathetic "she cooked my favorite" excuses. I know it hurts, and grandma's only joy, and that she only sees you twice a year and you can't do that to her, so I honestly don't care about these excuses, and you'll be best off if you don't either. These didn't matter to me in my program, and please do yourself the favor of treating yourself like an adult and saying no if the situation calls for it. You simply have to make your family understand that what you're doing is the best and healthiest thing you've ever done for yourself, and if they truly love you and want to make you happy, they need to understand this, and the least they can do is not bother you about it. I once poured the food my mother had spent 3 hours making exclusively for me into the bin right in front of her, and I didn't care how she felt about it, because she didn't care that I had been begging her for weeks not to bring crappy food here and to finally leave me alone. I'm not hungry, I'm not starving, I don't need all that junk. Done. When I poured out the food, it finally clicked for her, and if that's what it takes, then that's what I'll do. For myself, my appearance, my program, and my life. This isn't heartlessness, but the most fundamental point of your damn self-determination. My grandfather only understood that I didn't want palinka when I poured his birthday drink down the drain right in front of his eyes. Yes, he was offended. And so what? I told him a thousand times that I didn't want any. He didn't care what I asked of him, or that it was important to me. He hasn't offered since, so if you want to prevent ridiculous family squabbles, then do what I do, because if they don't care about what you ask or say, then radical steps must be taken to finally get the message across, which is "I'M ON A DIET, DAMMIT, don't you understand that I don't want it?" Besides, it's already bad if anyone thinks that eating grandma's spit-on strudel or not is the measure of love. Ridiculous.

January 1 – End of May /Season 1/
The primary goal of the Lifetilt program is to make you look good. This was the basic idea, and it was always at the forefront of my mind when I created my program. I wasn't concerned with my health; I didn't do it for that reason. I was solely interested in shaping my body. The Tilt program prioritizes this, and that's its essence. The funny thing is that a healthy lifestyle is just a side effect of the program, because to have a beautiful appearance, you need to eat foods and live a lifestyle that does the most for your health. That's why the January-May period is the most important period of the year, because this is when you prepare for summer. Clarify the new year for yourself, decide what you want to do with yourself in the new year and how you want to live it, and start the program in January. The most ideal time of the year to start is between January 10th and 20th. It would actually be worth somehow capturing on camera the states that begin to dominate people's minds around April-May, when the weather starts to get good, clothes are shed, and everyone starts to realize how much trouble they're really in. This is when turbo diets flourish because everyone wants to lose 15 kilos in 10 minutes, but of course, no one will succeed. The program should be started by mid-April at the latest to see meaningful changes by June, but preferably before that, because the warmer it gets, the more awful it is to work out. But this, of course, also depends on how much excess weight you have, because if it's more than 30 kg, then it's completely pointless to start the program in mid-April, because even if you strictly adhere to everything, you'll only look like a human by September. For those over 30 kg+, start in January; for those over 20 kg+, start by February at the latest, otherwise another summer season spent on the beach in the shade with complexes will come...
The next part will cover the remaining months of the year, including Christmas and New Year's Eve...
