The 5:2 horror diet

Oh my fucking God…
This was the first thought that came to mind when I recently read about the 5:2 diet method, even though I thought that after the Atkins, Dukan, and chocolate diets, the human mind couldn't possibly invent anything more idiotic.

But I have to admit, I was wrong, because there are no limits to stupidity, and the latest blow against women's minds is coming from England.

We owe the 5:2 diet method to Dr. Michael Mosley and Mimi Spencer, and here I must note that the fact that Dr. Michael Mosley was able to obtain a medical degree is severely compromising for the entire British higher education system. As for Mimi Spencer, I didn't expect much from her anyway, as she is just a journalist for a simple women's magazine, and this fact alone says everything about a person, and we know exactly how much brain capacity that implies. We know this type; in Montevideo street and in the editorial offices of women's online magazines, hundreds of such random idiots who think of themselves as journalists are running around, doing the most to sedate women completely mentally, and at the same time, ruining their bodies with their stupid diet articles.

But more on their role later; now let's examine a bit more thoroughly why the increasingly popular 5:2 diet is the biggest popularizer of nonsense, a terrible sea of crap, and what this method does to a woman's body if someone decides to try this utterly terrible crap.

So, there's a book titled "The Fast Diet," which is achieving huge success in England. The phenomenon is not surprising, as the method promises lasting and rapid weight loss without literally prohibiting any food, meaning neither sugar, nor pasta, nor anything whose negative effects on the figure are understood even by someone who is, as a matter of fact, completely clueless about life itself.

The essence of the diet is that for 5!!!, that is, five days a week, we can eat whatever we want, without any restrictions, but on the remaining 2 days, there is fasting. But this is no ordinary fasting, oh no. Mosley and Spencer don't mess around; instead, they suggest that the person eat NOTHING on these two days. The two real idiots even created an ideology around their method, a method for which, incidentally, they could be sued without a word for crimes against humanity.

The operating principle of the diet is as follows. If a person eats only 1400 calories every day, they will lose weight with this calorie intake; this is pure mathematics. This would be fine so far, but it's absolutely not fine how the 5:2 diet wants to achieve this calorie count. Let's say you eat 2000 calories a day without restrictions, which means 14,000 calories a week. But if you don't eat anything for 2 days, that means a 4000-calorie deficit, so you only consume 10,000 calories a week, making the average 1400 calories a day.

This method, of course, is full of flaws, and I'd really be curious if, when this book was sent to print, edited, and I assume someone did review it before it was published, there really wasn't anyone around to ask Mosley and his colleagues a question that should have sounded something like this: "How the hell do you imagine this, and no kidding now?"

The theory and the system are, of course, complete bullshit as they are, and what's even more important, they are terribly unhealthy. But let me not just talk in generalizations.

1. First of all, it matters a lot what kind of nutrient content the certain daily calorie amount comes from. The 5:2 doesn't restrict any food; it just says, let's stay around 2000 calories.

2. The 5:2 diet suggests two days of complete food deprivation, meaning that for 2 days, not even a slice of bread should be eaten. Everyone who is worth anything already knows that the basis of healthy eating and a fundamental task for the body is to maintain a stable blood sugar level, for which daily five meals are the most ideal. If this system is disrupted, the body's insulin production is disrupted, which fundamentally disrupts the body's metabolic processes, thereby causing numerous diseases in the body.

We don't need to eat because we're hungry, but to give the body everything it needs to function. For our organs, bones, cells, nervous system, and our body itself to function, we need to get food. No one has died of starvation in two days, but the complete absence of minerals, vitamins, vital enzymes, protein, carbohydrates, and fatty acids for two days does not pass without a trace, especially if we do this weekly.

I hope the catastrophic health effects of the 5:2 diet are clear to everyone, but now comes a much simpler explanation, which we call the human factor and the reaction to two days of complete starvation.

3. Everyone is familiar with the feeling when, after a longer period of deprivation, we suddenly start to compensate. The smoker who quits cigarettes after many years, then breaks down at a party and smokes a pack in one evening, a person who forces themselves to live a different life than they actually want for a long time, or a woman who fails her diet and binges herself silly in one night. I think the last example fits best here, and that's precisely the point.

A big binge after a fast, which can be quite serious on its own, but especially if the body starts to compensate after two days of complete restriction. But if we top that off with the fact that this is even allowed, then we will certainly experience some very ugly things. The 5:2 diet looks stupid even on paper, and anyone who isn't a complete psychopathic disabled person should see at first glance that this system stinks from afar.

The 5:2 diet assumes 2000 calories of anything per day for 5 days, but I'd be curious which woman, after two days of starvation, will only consume 2000 calories on the third day, but damn it, in a way that she can eat anything. There would be a tiny problem with "eating anything," because eating anything largely means sweets, pasta, and fatty foods. However, a single serving of these foods ranges from a minimum of 800 to 1200 calories, and that's just one meal.

But seriously, how the hell does this look in practice in Mosley and Spencer's messed-up minds? I don't eat anything for two days, okay. The morning of the third day arrives, when we can eat freely whatever we want. What do they think these women will eat just for breakfast, knowing that after two days of starvation, a person would even eat a porcelain plate? This morning will be spent binging, and since you can eat anything, I guarantee that a minimum, and I mean a damn minimum, of 1500 calories will go down. These are not assumptions, but simple facts, and I would like to ask every woman not to fool herself with the argument that she wouldn't do that. So, 1500 calories on the morning of the 3rd day, and there are still 500 calories left to consume until the morning of the next day.

What's going on here in Gyöngyös????

The system is awful and unsustainable not only mentally but also physically. They expect self-control and consciousness from women while telling them they can eat anything, as long as their daily intake doesn't exceed 2000 calories. But from those women who read the rules of the 5:2 diet, then start it, and even believe it can work, I don't just not expect self-control, I literally don't assume they have the mental capacity for independent breathing.

The problem, however, doesn't start with insane idiots inventing such nonsense, because as my father would say, the problem with gays isn't that they exist, but that they're shown on TV. The spread of such diets and the fact that "The Fast Diet" became a bestseller in England required its appearance in the media and especially in hundreds of women's magazines and websites frequented by women.

For example, I found an article about the 5:2 diet on novagyok.hu, where they were able to write sentences like these about the 5:2 diet:

“How about a diet where you can eat pizza, ice cream, anything, and still lose weight? One that not only gets rid of your fat but also rejuvenates you? Here’s the latest fad diet, rumored to be healthy and effective!”

Or here's an article from kiskegyed.hu with the following title: “Bomb Diet: You Can Lose 10 Kilos in 72 Hours!” If anyone doesn't believe their eyes and thinks I'm exaggerating, feel free to click on the link.

An entire post could be written about the stupidity factor prevailing in the editorial offices of women's magazines, but sooner or later, every media outlet like this should understand that they should at least minimally filter that damn content and not publish every piece of crap mindlessly, because these diets are dangerous, unhealthy, and bring millions of women to ruin.
