Egyedül vagy...

You're alone...

Suddenly, I can't think of anything more difficult and hopeless in life than trying to convince a woman that she doesn't need help or support, that she shouldn't make her life, her thoughts, or her actions dependent on others, and most importantly, that she shouldn't let her lifestyle change program depend on others. Never try to please others, or even worse, start something because of others, because if you're not doing it for yourself and primarily for your own sake, you won't be able to finish it. It's a difficult undertaking, because a woman can only truly be happy and live a full life with a man, even if we're talking about the lesbian president of the feminist world organization. A woman without support is like a mother without a child. If I had to describe women in three words, they would be doubt, uncertainty, and complexes. These three words are true for every woman, regardless of social status and upbringing. Of course, these labels are equally true for men's society, but there are some differences in the units of measurement.

Doubts... In ourselves, in our limits, in the future of our relationship, but most of all in our existence, which we occasionally overwrite by believing that through our work, we are still important building blocks of our society and participate in bearing common burdens, but unfortunately, the reality, the stripped-down, ideology-free reality, shows something entirely different. We are weak people who cannot find answers to the questions that define our lives. For a while, we try to find solutions, but then, receiving no answers to our questions, and not understanding connections and the world, we completely break down. The unbearable lightness of our being crushes us, and most people can no longer bear this pressure. Some escape into work or drugs, we start smoking, gambling, drinking, whoring, or gorging, anything just to feel alive for at least a few minutes, while others gather in a group called a religion because they feel safer there. Our hobbies, our money, our car, our perceived truth—which sand will be more appealing to each of us to stick our heads into. These are escape routes and life rafts for life. Dependence, attachment to familiar things, the net that we believe offers protection, that provides security, at least the perfect illusion of it...

We try to achieve great things because we believe we are capable, then after a while, we just want to stay afloat, and then just be left alone. We were all young and carefree, but by the time we realized there was a problem, a real mess, we found ourselves in the detox ward of the Nyírő Gyula Street Hospital's addiction department because we thought... but we didn't. But at least we try and fail countless times, but after a while, we realize that we can only count on ourselves.

We are alone, and just because many people are around us wearing "friends" and "family" t-shirts, we are still alone. Alone in a huge, damn hall with our problems, and no matter how much we scream for help, no one hears it or wants to hear it besides us. Friends can be as close as they are, and we can go through fire for them, but we cannot expect our well-being and existential development from them. I used to think that friends were above all. I would have done anything for them, I came home from England because of them, but after a while, I had to realize that you can't spend a lifetime drinking beer by Lake Balaton. We are alone with our problems, and we either solve them ourselves, or if we are unable to do so, we might as well jump into a concrete mixer at the nearest construction site, saving ourselves a life of suffering, in which we rely on others, waiting for validation and a full life.

We are alone in a dark room, where we grasp at the first object that we hope will provide security, even though if we went further, we might find the light switch. I lost my faith when I was 10, just as I lost a girl a few years ago, so I depend on no God and no woman. I quit smoking, gambling, and my friends can still count on me to this day, but we're not 19 anymore, and I've accepted that. I try to make my life independent of everything and everyone because it can be pretty shitty when the stool you feel you can't exist without is kicked out from under you. In early 2009, I lost everything. We lost millions of forints because of a business, and consequently, I lost a childhood friend and a woman I wanted to spend my life with. Did I whine? No, I almost died, but I got back up, and 2 years after what happened, I'm now giving strength to hundreds of people through a blog, which changes their lives and their attitude towards a healthy life.

Did anyone help? Everyone wanted to, but no one could. At times like these, there are no words, and even if there are, they have no effect at all. Either you shake yourself off and get up from the ground, not expecting help from anyone, no matter how difficult it may be, or you're finished. If you don't do this, your social life and quality of life will have as much vital sign as a dead person whose nails are still growing.

With this example, and the end of my emotional outpourings that no one cares about, we have arrived at one of the essential points of the post. No one will help you in life, and they won't help you with your lifestyle change or your diet either. You don't need training partners, or girlfriends to run with, and you don't need the world's pitying texts that I receive every day. "I would go to the gym, and I want to, but I can't do it alone because it's so boring." Uh huh... But seriously, who cares if you find it boring? If you want a beautiful figure, a shapely body, then there's a price, and as I mentioned, you can't bluff here. Running, swimming, cycling, gym, diet, sacrifice, disciplined life. That's it. Something for something.

You run alone, you train alone, you live for yourself. Everything you have achieved in life you have achieved alone and you owe it to yourself. If you have achieved nothing, you also owe that to yourself, and no one else is to blame, just as if you are now pissing on the city from the clouds because you have become such a successful person. At your workplace, you don't wait for your promotion from others, but you work for it, so why would it be any different with training? Is it boring to run alone? Listen to music while you run and reflect on your life, your work, the last few years, the next five, or your relationships. There will be things to change, I'm not afraid there won't be. Running, in our fast-paced urban life, is the only, I repeat, the only thing where you can truly be free. Just you and your thoughts.

Petra sent a text yesterday saying that I'm not supportive enough, and I'm not there for her when she needs me, and that she's only doing it for me, but despite that, I don't care about her. I told her, my dear. Your program will end in a few days, and when it does, do you think I'll still be there for you? You're not changing for me, but for yourself, I didn't lose those 11 kilos for you, you did, and you didn't change your lifestyle because of me, but because your old life in that form was unacceptably pathetic. I've never seen Petra as weak and vulnerable as yesterday. Not that I cared, because she has to learn, just like all of you have to. Everyone lives for themselves, and there's no support. It's just you, and that's the end of the list. If you need a helping hand, find your own hands, because those will help you, and you'll have to hold on with them.

The Program

So, the decision has been made: you're going to change your life. It's horrible to even imagine what a pathetic state you must be in right now. Zero self-esteem, even less self-confidence, and there's a good chance you're your friend's sidekick, in other words, the girl your friend only keeps around because next to you, even she looks pretty. The fact that you've reached a point where you want to change your current life also means that you've been sinking deeper and deeper lately without even noticing, because it didn't take a week for you to gain X extra kilos. What happened? A relationship that destroyed you and in which you no longer feel like enough of a woman? Work problems? Or are you simply a weak character? It doesn't really matter, because completing a several-week program will perfectly reflect your attitude towards life. The body is negligible; it can be fixed, but what's inside is often not, or only with great difficulty. This will be an excellent self-awareness test for everyone who starts this program because a few things about you will be revealed here. How much mental and inner strength you have, how much perseverance, whether you can handle the mental strain, because your sports performance and your attitude towards training will show this crystal clear. It's not for nothing that we elevate our athletes to the respected and valuable members of our society. Humanly, they produce something that sets them apart from the masses.

In the final casting round of the Summerproject, I held a physical assessment because I wanted to see how each person reacts to the load. At the casting, you can say anything, bluff with a straight face about things you know nothing about, but on the field, there's no fooling around; it shows what's truly in you. We called back four guys for an almost hour-long assessment. There was a small guy who really wanted it, but physically wasn't suited for it. He gave it his all and only stopped when I told him to quit because I could see it would be bad. That's why he dropped out. Then there was a guy who lay down on the ground between every exercise and had to be scraped up. He wasn't tired, he was just fed up with the whole thing, so he was obviously disqualified too. In the end, two guys stayed, who completed everything without being prima donnas or agonizing. One of them was chosen for the role, so now I'll know what to expect in the future.

There are many ways to run a race. If we observed 100 people running, we would see 100 different styles. There would be some who would give up after 1-2 km, but they wouldn't act any differently in life when facing the first obstacles. There would be some who would start very strong and simply wouldn't have the strength to finish. These are typical examples of "more smoke than fire" whom we think are capable, but unfortunately, it always turns out that they are not. Then there would be some who warm up slowly but eventually become one of the biggest opponents. Some will run steadily throughout, while others would try to cheat the distance. Every single person would solve the running of the distance in the same way they would react to situations and life circumstances in any other area of life. With the tools and on the paths they would take in life due to their character or qualities, and this is far from a matter of fitness, because I might not have any stamina, but if I have to run 5 km because that's my task, then if I'm that kind of person, I will run it, even if it doesn't feel good. I'll do it and die proudly at the end.

These small moments separate quality people from inferior ones. The struggle, the tolerance of pain, and the honest execution of the task. We must surpass ourselves, and our reward will not be long in coming. A flirt, a smile, or an appreciative glance, a reflection in the mirror, or the first big step on the road to self-realization. This is why we do all this crap, and this is why we are here.

The program, by following it point by point, can change your lifestyle. Strictly adhere to the points, and never forget why you are doing it.

So, the program is as follows...
