A slaughter comparable to the crusades has unfolded in recent years, as health-conscious experts, or those who consider themselves to be, who see everything and notice even the tiniest flaws, declared a final and all-out war against dairy products.

However, these experts and the diligent health warriors of the internet somehow forget about fruits, whose daily presence often causes much more harm to the human body than most people would think.

It is a fact that consuming fruits is healthy, and it is a fact that fruits contain essential fibers, vitamins, and minerals for the human body, so no one would assume that fruit could be harmful to their health. And this is the most dangerous part. When we think something is good for us, and in happy ignorance, we start consuming excessively what we believe to be good, but in doing so, we cause ourselves the greatest harm.

Fruit in its untouched form is a fantastic and truly healthy food, but the emphasis is on its untouched form, which, thanks to human intervention and science, is now nothing more than a devalued, sedated, nutrient-deprived, heavily manipulated food.

Just as chickens are force-fed various feeds to reach their slaughter weight as quickly as possible, it is no different with fruits. Just think, if the same were done to humans, that is, if a person's natural development were accelerated, wouldn't that raise quite a few questions?

What procedure could be used to achieve this? What nutrients would need to be given to make this happen, and even if it did, how would that body look after a while? But an even more interesting question is what is in the cocktail that can achieve this unnatural growth? This is precisely what we are talking about: forced cultivation, accelerating time at all costs. The world's population is growing rapidly, market demands must be met, and this applies to all sectors. It doesn't matter how, but there must be enough milk, meat, vegetables, and fruits on the shelves, preferably fresh, even if they come from the other side of the world.

We could go into a very detailed analysis of this, down to the smallest details, but I would like to specifically talk about fruit cultivation and its processes, because fruit is the segment that people associate with health, although this has not been the case for a very long time.

The treatment of fruits with preservatives already begins when the fruit exists only in seed form. The goal is for them to develop as quickly as possible and be as beautiful as possible. Natural fermentation processes are minimized, and care is taken to ensure they do not lose their freshness during storage and transport. Naturally, these criteria cannot be met, so assistance must be sought that goes against nature, inhibits processes, stops the wheel of time, and this is exactly where preservatives, gas storage methods, and genetically modified procedures come into play.

However, fruits are not only nourished and treated with artificial substances during the growing season. The farmlands themselves are already leached to carbon, not to mention that the various sprays and chemicals accumulated over decades are still present in the farmlands today, because chemicals and preservatives have a property that they cannot decompose even in 20-30, or even 50 years.

Those chemicals, long banned due to their carcinogenic and generally harmful effects on health, are still present in the soil. The fruits that will reach consumers today or tomorrow grow in such an environment, and if that weren't enough, they also spray a damn good substance on the finished product, just to be sure, which is intended to preserve the surface treatment of the fruits.

Biphenyl (E230), Phenylphenol (E231), Sodium phenylphenate (E232), and Thiabendazole (E233). These are the preservatives most commonly used for fruit surface treatment. This process protects the fruits externally from environmental factors like sunlight and air, which can accelerate the natural fermentation processes of the fruits.

At every single step of fruit cultivation, fruits are preserved from the very beginning until the moment we put them in our basket, and the funniest thing is that most people believe that if they wash the fruit, everything is fine and they won't ingest any harmful substances.

If anyone doesn't believe me, here's a table showing the decrease in mineral and vitamin content of fruits from 1985 to 1996. The data is more than telling, and these numbers didn't decrease because fruits forgot to produce vitamins, but because during chemical and genetically modified cultivation, and storage processes involving gases and CO2 enrichment, fruits lost mineral and vitamin content to such an extent. The survey provides data from 1996, and 17 years have passed since then!!!

The second part of the post will discuss fruit itself, its content, edibility, and how it can be incorporated into a diet.

Fruits contain sugar. But I could also put it this way: fruit is practically a high-sugar food, and excessive consumption leads to significant fat formation and deposition. Few people know this, but that's what LifeTILT is for: to draw attention to such small details of life.

All fruits contain fructose, or fruit sugar, which the body (insulin) cannot convert (into glycogen) to store in the muscles. Let me put it more simply. Our body cannot process fruit sugar, and since it cannot process it, it converts it into fat. Let me put it even more simply. You will gain weight from eating fruit. At this point, the 90-day diet brain-fuckery comes to mind, where a fruit day is specifically prescribed, but let's not get into that now.

Just as with everything else, there are huge differences between fruits, because certain fruits contain not only fruit sugar but also grape sugar, which raises blood sugar levels more intensely, and the resulting insulin production further promotes fat formation. So, it really matters whether you eat 1 kg of grapes or 1 kg of currants.

The following table clearly summarizes how much of each fruit we can eat in a day, depending on its fructose content, strictly on an empty stomach, because if we combine them with other foods, we shouldn't even eat that much.

No one should think that by eating only fruit, they can successfully lose weight, because it simply won't work. The essence of dieting would be to lose fat, and a fruit diet is completely unsuitable for this. You won't lose any fat, I'm telling you upfront.

It's best to eat a little fruit for a mid-morning snack, or if you prefer, for your second meal, and the emphasis is on "little." It's forbidden to eat fruit after a workout, because I often see many idiots at the gym going to the counter after a workout and downing a banana smoothie. That's great, but it doesn't make much sense, in fact, it's more harmful.

So, if I had to summarize, fruit consumption is only for the second meal or before strenuous physical activity, meaning before gym, interval, or functional training, but absolutely not before light aerobics, as these do not count as serious workouts. Furthermore, do not eat fruit after meals and exercise, and definitely not before bed.

Finally, a piece of advice. For those who want to live health-consciously, or at least in the illusion of it, I definitely recommend that if not completely, then at least exclude from their lives the fruits that can be bought in hyper- or supermarkets, but I think I can safely include larger retail chains as well. Markets could be alternatives, but only could be, because they also source their goods from wholesale markets, where large producers who gladly apply the methods described above deliver. Small producers and advocates of organic farming are the last warriors who still offer fruits that can truly be called fruits and are considered healthy. However, I would still suggest that if someone absolutely wants to get vitamins and intends to cover it from fruits, they should rather take vitamin supplements.
