IR – The Barren Land

"Shut up, priest, where is your God?"
Millions of desperate women ask this question. After finding their partner, they want to complete the fulfillment of their love and the expression of their affection with a child.

Starting a family, becoming a mother, creating a new life – this is undoubtedly the peak of a woman's life, when she can fully experience her femininity, fulfill her duty to evolution, and sacrifice at the altar of continuity. A woman without children, no matter how successful she may be, has achieved nothing in life; her existence is meaningless, a sad dead end. One can try to defend against this and convince oneself that a childless life is a personal choice, that the right man hasn't been found, but this is all bullshit, cruel self-deception.

However, life sometimes dictates that not only women who are unsuitable for relationships and socialized on Sex and the City don't get pregnant, but also women who have been consciously preparing for motherhood for years, and despite their most intense efforts, pregnancy simply doesn't happen. For anyone currently in this situation, I assume the scenario is familiar. Allowing for conception, the great baby-waiting period begins, which after a few months of fruitless attempts and sensing that something is very wrong, is replaced by visiting more professional sites, increasingly followed by forums where women are no longer planning but rather desperately trying.

But the problems truly begin here, because the thought of not getting pregnant drives a wedge, tearing women's souls apart and putting a hole in the ship of their relationships, which by now is navigating very turbulent waters. Generally, one year is the critical period when women begin to realize that targeted sexual activity, yarrow tea, and ovulation tests are no longer helping, and after visiting infertility forums, the real ordeal begins, when women find themselves at the reception desks of SOTE, Dévai, Kaáli, Versys clinics, or the Buda infertility center, arranging appointments.

In 2012, 150,000 couples in Hungary struggled with infertility. This number is so stark that I have to write it again. 150,000, which by any count affects 300,000 people, plus partners, of course. However, the problem of infertility affects not only women but also a large number of men, as evidenced by the fact that in 40% of cases, the problem lies with the men.

However, these numbers only count couples; they do not include the masses of women who are currently living their lives happily in their teens and twenties, thinking more about a well-mixed modern Thai cocktail than about having children, even though they don't even know that the disease responsible for their unborn child is currently in their bodies, and they either don't notice the signs or simply don't attach any significance to them, but the disease slowly consumes their femininity. I used to dismiss these "women's issues" as not my concern; women don't worry about prostate or hernia, but after two years of working with women, I realized the damage this condition causes to the female psyche, not only destroying their organs but also their appearance, because this disease is responsible for unexplained weight gain and unsuccessful weight loss, among other things. The two sexes live in symbiosis; it takes two people to start a family, and what if the girl I want to start a family with is suffering from the same disease, this condition attacking her body.

The name of the disease is PCOS, behind which IR stands.

This disease affects 500,000 women in Hungary alone, which is just as severe as it sounds at first glance. However, the medical community largely disregards this problem; they are not only unprepared for its treatment and play the butcher in a way reminiscent of the goriest horror films, filling women with hormones, but you also have to beg for a damn referral for the IR screening test that would actually diagnose the disease. But why would they, since it's only about women's fertility and our future. At this point, I would like to draw attention to the fact that a negative blood sugar test means nothing and minimally does not rule out the presence of PCOS in the body.

The currently applied medical treatments for infertility problems have, as they are, failed and are professionally completely unfounded, their effectiveness minimally demonstrable, and moreover, they are costly, involve a lot of emotional hardship, and perfectly destroy women mentally.

Symptoms

So there is a metabolic disease whose presence is a direct cause of recurrent miscarriages, high blood pressure, unexplained obesity, ovarian cysts, and not least, female infertility. The symptoms vary depending on age.

Metabolic symptoms

Increased craving for sweets and fatigue after eating. This is when blood sugar levels drop sharply due to excessive insulin production.

Another characteristic problem is a large number of unsuccessful diets and a very strong yo-yo effect, because in those genetically predisposed, high insulin levels shift metabolic processes towards storage. While these can also be the consequence of poorly chosen diets, I hope the main point has still gotten across to everyone.

Gynecological symptoms

Appearance of ovarian cysts, which is a direct consequence of disastrous ovarian function.

Menstrual disorders

Infertility and/or miscarriage

Gestational diabetes

Dermatological symptoms

Acne-like pimples on the face, abdomen, chest, shoulders

Hair growth on the face, thighs, chest

Hair loss, typically on the scalp

Less commonly, grayish-brown discoloration on the neck and in skin folds

These symptoms are varied, of differing severity, but there are also cases where the symptoms are very mild or do not appear at all, and the disease remains undiagnosed. If someone walks into a clinic specializing in women's problems today, they will encounter the following treatments, and it's advisable to prepare oneself mentally for them, especially since these treatments are utterly useless and not the solution.

In the future, LifeT!lt will place a strong emphasis on the treatment of PCOS and hypothyroidism, which produces similar symptoms to PCOS and also leads to metabolic disorders and weight gain. I do this because this condition can be greatly improved, almost cured, with appropriate treatment and a healthy lifestyle. Numerous cases prove that women diagnosed with 100% infertility have become fertile again and conceived solely due to appropriate treatment and a more active lifestyle combined with strict adherence to a diet.

As a first step, we organized a 2-day awareness screening with Mens Mentis, which will take place on January 25th and 26th.

The screening will include blood sugar, 3-point insulin level measurement (IR), and TSH blood test (thyroid examination), along with a detailed assessment test. The results will be evaluated by specialists, and you will receive the findings via email within a week, which will indicate whether, according to the doctor, PCOS or thyroid disease can be ruled out, or if further detailed examination is recommended. The screening will only take place on these two days in the morning hours, and we can examine a maximum of 42 people. The number of places is therefore limited.

Before anyone applies, here is a table that everyone should fill out. With 0 to 3 "yes" answers, PCOS syndrome is not present. With 4 to 6 "yes" answers, it is recommended to perform the test, while above 7 "yes" answers, the presence of PCOS syndrome is strong.
