Day 0: 67.2 kg                             Day 45: 57.8 kg

68 km run, 13 weight trainings, -9.8 kg and an average of -6.54 cm off body parts in 45 days

I've always admired and respected people who were able to bring something extra into the lives of others, causing them to develop, and in turn, developing themselves, setting an example for others, and moving forward in life. Petra is such a woman, and everyone should look at her with admiration because you only see the weekly summaries and the results, but not the performance and strictly adhered diet behind them. What this girl is doing is exemplary, especially considering Petra has one of the most difficult to shape and unfortunate body types; she is endomorphic, which requires constant attention just to maintain her current weight, let alone lose weight and sculpt her body. Petra has been getting on my nerves with her nonsense for 45 days now, and in these 45 days, a new person is being born. She is becoming a much more confident and happier girl, but it's not impossible that she's only happy because two days ago she blew 170,000 forints at Arena Plaza on new clothes because her old ones didn't fit anymore. Well, yes, 9 kilos is 9 kilos. After four months of being together on this blog, most people should realize that a life filled with weight loss, dieting, and exercise gives you much more than just losing 5-10 or I don't know how many kilos. At the end of a program, everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, around you will change. Because what happens?

By sticking to a diet, you set rules for yourself, and by following them, you give structure to your daily life. Due to healthy eating, your well-being and health will improve, and by completing your workouts, you will grow as a person. Discipline, perseverance, sacrifice, will, performance. The Olympics are not by chance the most hyped and recognized event in the world. Athletes of a nation with an incredible amount of work behind them. In college, I had a real "wheat box" sociology teacher who asked who we thought were at the top of the social ladder. Although I wasn't such a health fanatic then, since I had been playing football since I was 5 and sports defined my whole life, I immediately answered the teacher's question: athletes and Olympians. The teacher then said no, it was politicians. "YOUR MOM," I thought to myself... The point is, I think athletes are the greatest kings, and to my greatest regret, I will most likely never stand on the podium listening to the national anthem with a lump in my throat, because I was such an idiot at 15 that... but let's leave the past behind. The point is, do it, set a goal, and everyone stand on their own podium, or get eliminated in the qualifiers, wherever they belong, but time will tell.

Petra lives alone, meaning no one hinders her training, she doesn't have a lost "man" without a future whom women tend to call their boyfriend, she doesn't live with her parents who constantly want to feed her all kinds of crappy food, and thank God, her grandmother, who holds the status of "family baker," lives 250 kilometers away, meaning she is not exposed to the endless highway of apple pies and strudels, and it seems Petra doesn't belong to the despicable company of self-saboteurs either. Her workplace is obviously full of obese women in relationships, although last time I visited, I thought I saw someone who only had 3 kilos of excess weight. I only wrote these down because these are the 5 points where a diet can fail. The relationship, the family, ourselves, and our workplace. (Then it's only four) I've written about relationship pitfalls before, but it can't be said enough because this topic can annoy me more than Tóra W Árpád's writings. I'll save everyone a few characters and ask everyone (men and women) who are in a relationship and feel that they are not getting any extra value in life from the other person, or see that their lives are not moving forward, to do themselves a favor and remove the hindrance next to them that has kept them stagnating for months, or perhaps years. How many rounds has each person had on the carousel of misery? The other thing is that the same applies to friends and almost everyone around you who is an energy vampire and whose role in your life is to prevent you from moving forward.

Changing your lifestyle is a much, much more complex thing than eating salads and drinking mineral water for 5 weeks. It doesn't matter what diet you're on or how much weight you lose. It doesn't matter, because sooner or later, after the diet ends, you'll regain all of it, and it's likely even more. With a lifestyle change, as the name suggests, you change your life. You change your previous lifestyle and rhythm precisely because what you were doing or thought was good clearly didn't work. Everything in life is interconnected, and the threads of life are tightly linked. Because the moment we become undemanding and neglect ourselves and our bodies, there's a good chance that things aren't right internally either. The rhythm is off, we live a less happy life than we'd like, we don't have a partner who inspires us adequately. We surround ourselves with people we choose, and how much extra these people can give us, or how much they take away from us, is solely up to us. We choose our partners, friends, buddies, and we filter who we have daily or weekly contact with. We, and only we, shape our lives by choosing the people with whom we either move forward in this stream of shit called life or drown, because so-called friends only pull us down.

People whose invisible hands are on our shoulders, holding us back if we were to move forward. They don't let go and never will, because these are the people who experience the progress of others as their own failure. Most often, these people are at the end of the ropes that paralyze us, and what's more, we don't even notice it because sometimes the biggest saboteurs of our life and progress are those we love most or feel closest to. A relationship is one of the most important and defining relationships in a person's life, and precisely for this reason, it is also one of the most dangerous. Who you live with largely determines your life and whether it will be a quality life in which your partner will help, support, and give you strength in everyday life, or perhaps your partner (how I hate that word) will cement you into the low-category nihilistic foundations of a screwed-up life and always pour a new layer on you when you, fed up with your life, would move on or do something from which you hope for a better life. If I love a woman, I won't let her neglect herself, neither physically nor in any other way, because I know exactly what a self-esteem crisis she will fall into and how unhappy she will be in everyday life if she doesn't look the way she wants or sees herself as beautiful. That's why if she asks, "Tomi, do you think I'm fat?" I will never tell her, "Oh, of course you're not fat, you're fine as you are, I love you just as you are," just to avoid an undoubtedly tornado-like tantrum, because I know that by doing so, I am only doing her good and helping her to a happier life. I can already hear the cries of "You superficial monkey, not everyone likes perfect women" (yes, they do). But it's a huge mistake to think this, because this is not superficiality, but the support and control of a demanding female self-image. You need to support and encourage her to develop and inspire her on her journey if she has already started it. Not to stuff her with food so that she doesn't get taken away and gets stuck with him, or not to support her when she wants to change jobs in the hope of a better salary or for any other reason, because you don't have to, and you can't keep her in a secure but unhappy situation. The damned brakes in life, which if you don't get rid of, it's pointless to go anywhere, let alone start a diet and a complete training program, because you will fail anyway. Everyone should find their worthy partner and friends they can count on, who will help them, and strengthen each other to develop in life. It's not that difficult, because sometimes that's all it takes to turn over a new leaf.

Many people live in unhappy relationships and lie to themselves about a happy life, even though nothing holds that relationship together but the pathetic clinging of two weak people. Petra is the best example of what a "partner" who is not right for us, who cannot give a woman the "extra" she craves, can cause. After 2 years of self-deception, Petra, broken, having long lost her self-respect, in the midst of a serious self-esteem crisis, left the relationship as a 67-kilo woman with 13 kilos of excess weight. We have been doing the program since March 28th, and what I had suspected has now become certain: Petra is a woman who can show the way and serve as an example for other women to follow. I am incredibly proud of this girl, not only because she is more determined day by day and has followed all my instructions for 45 days now, but also because, in addition to successfully completing an undoubtedly difficult program, she also performs well at her workplace, all while, according to her own admission, feeling endlessly lonely, which, for women, is equivalent to natural disasters.

Petra asked me not to humiliate her in the other weekly summaries and not to portray her as a stupid, foolish woman, because she isn't. Indeed, she isn't, but she possesses all the elements of the everyday female stupidity toolbox that is standard equipment for girls. Her request was perfectly justified, and I would have done it for her, but then something happened that rewrote a few things about Petra. Petra had badly tricked me, which I had to find out sitting on a bench on Teréz Boulevard, 41 days after the program started, which she introduced with the sentence, "I'd like to tell you something now, but if I do, promise you won't get too upset." Not that I was surprised, as I've dealt with enough girls to know what women are capable of when they need to pull a fast one. Now I could talk for hours about women who talked on the phone with their boyfriends while sitting on me, but that will be another post, and it's not about that with Petra. After 29 minutes of "but seriously, don't be angry" messing around, she finally told me that although she told me 64 kilos at the beginning of our program, in reality, she was 67.2 kg. After I knocked over two trash cans, I asked her why that was necessary and how the hell I was supposed to communicate this on the blog, to which she gave a typical female answer. Something about being ashamed of gaining so much weight and not even daring to admit it to HERSELF, and besides, does it even matter? At this point, I think I cried, because how could it not matter, since I calculated the calories, nutrient intake, and workout plan based on her starting weight, and incidentally, then she wouldn't have lost 6 kilos in 45 days, but 9, and that does matter. Seriously, after all this, I shouldn't be angry? At times like these, I'd rather grab a gun and shoot myself than have to endure women's nonsense in such concentrated doses. By this move, Petra also used up her first and last chance, because as I said, she can trick me once, after that I'm done with her and her program. So from now on, 67.2 kg will be the base number. I hope there are no more surprises, but it's likely that if there are, I won't find out about them.

All in all, and apart from this incident, Petra is progressing very well with the program.  She has lost over 9 kilos, and is already planning for the summer, in which she intends to give her new body a major role, and rightly so, because she will no longer look like a big, fat turtle on the beach like when I found her, but like a girl who, in the eyes of guys, falls into the "holy shit, I'd totally bang her" category, and a young woman lying on the beach in summer doesn't really need greater recognition than that...

Speaking of women we can be proud of...
