Only our healthcare and education systems are in a more disheartening and hopeless situation than Hungary's current governmental and economic measures. The continuous decline of education since 1994 is most noticeable in primary schools and high schools. This is a widespread problem affecting all subjects, a problem that should not be swept under the rug like anything else that is problematic in this country, because the quality education of the growing generation should be one of the most important things in the life of a nation in shaping the future society, and our education system plays a key role in this. Now that I have written what even a 6-year-old knows, let's move on to the essence of the matter. Thanks to the benevolent activity of Bálint Magyar and the free birds, which would shame vultures, the number of physical education classes in schools is proportional to Hungary's GDP growth figures, meaning that there are only one or two physical education classes per week in the national curriculum, which is humiliatingly few and completely incomprehensible to me. But if at least that much were the case, because as I see it, anyone who wants to gets an exemption from these 1-2 physical education classes, because what does it mean that Erika S3 was excused from gymnastics classes because she couldn't run properly, as is perfectly noticeable in her video clip. This is like a child being excused from math because they can't do multiplication or powers of numbers. These are ridiculous and truly disheartening conditions, and the majority of PE teachers are perfect partners in this process, because then they would have to teach even problematic children movement coordination, and energy would have to be invested in developing basic strength and endurance, but then, of course, they wouldn't be able to wank in the staff room while reading Nemzeti Sport...

I know it's easier to let the boys play football and the girls play badminton, but the result will be that masses grow up unable to run 400 meters properly, and they won't experience the character-building and strengthening power of sports, and what's most disheartening is that tens of thousands of children grow up like Vivien, who at 19 has never, and I mean never, played any sport. Movement has never been part of her life, not even at a minimal level, and the direct consequence of this is that here is a young girl with 20 kilos of excess weight, and she has no idea how, or with what kind of movement, she could get rid of her unwanted kilos. The alternative for this generation regarding a healthy lifestyle is to cobble together terrible diets from the internet, created by incompetent assholes solely to sell their junk offered at the bottom of the website, or by the shallow-minded idiots of Glamour and Cosmopolitan who put together something utterly unbelievably stupid in the editorial office, thereby perfectly confusing women who are already clueless in the world of diets. Of course, movement as such doesn't even come up as a possible alternative, but how could it, when as children they were used to PE classes equaling free periods and cigarettes in the toilet, and an exemption note from movement was in the teacher's desk drawer.
Vivien is also a member of this generation, born in 1992. It should be the duty of parents and the state, as institutions caring for all of us, to educate children about a healthy lifestyle and sports, so that movement becomes an integral part of their lives later on, and they don't start getting acquainted with physical exertion at the age of 22, 26, or 34, because by then it's too late, it's really too late, because it takes immense mental strength to start. The body and mind have already developed by adulthood, and they react to everything according to the impulses received until then. If someone experiences serious physical exertion for the first time at the age of 25, they will be unable to interpret it for a long time. The cell-stimulating processes won't start because the body doesn't know what to do with it, it will only result in immense pain and bitter suffering, and an experience of such a bad level that it will make one lose interest in the whole thing, and they haven't even really started yet, plus, of course, diet. You can't handle it physically, even less mentally, and suddenly you find yourself with the food delivery person ringing the doorbell. The complete lack of movement for years, however, takes its toll, with direct consequences such as obesity, high blood pressure, joint problems, and generally a worse than average state of health. I chose Vivien because it's not too late for her to make up for the wasted years and the processes that have been neglected until now. She needs to get used to movement, which will be terrible for her at first, but in time she will realize what we call the joy of movement and what the beneficial effect of SPORT means. You can't live without movement, but believe me, it's not really worth it. With Erika for mothers, and with Vivien for women living with significant overweight, I want to set an example that must be followed, and for those young women who are already living their lives overweight at 15, 17, or 21. The hole these women are in now is only 1 meter deep, but with each passing year, this hole will deepen, making it increasingly difficult to climb out of it and get their lives back on track into a more livable, healthier, and more beautiful-looking path.

In cases of significant overweight, i.e., over 20 kilos, life is not so simple, and not just when it comes to workouts. Two things are needed for major obesity. A life without movement and such a quantity of horribly bad food, which accumulates continuously in the body over the years, storing so many toxins that even the chemical division of BorsodChem would envy. These poisons, preservatives, fats, sugars, artificial colorings, various flavor enhancers, are in your body, and flushing them out will cause Vivien a few unpleasant weeks, and this detoxification process is actually the number one killer of diets, because it causes the incredibly bad feeling associated with the elimination of toxins. This cleaning is done ONLY with a strictly adhered to diet and by drinking plenty of fluids. Forget juice fasts and similar charlatan nonsense, because they are pointless and do more harm than good. I put together Vivien's diet based on this, meaning she received a program aimed at cleansing, in other words, a simple Lifetilt diet with high protein intake, essential fats, fiber-rich and carbohydrate-reduced foods. I had to relax the diet a bit, because if I had to name which of the three Slim girls would most likely fail the program, I would definitely name Vivien, which is why I will pay close attention to her.
I need to make Vivien understand, and I've told her this many times, that this isn't just another diet out of the many she's started and failed a thousand times, but a consciously built lifestyle change program that offers her a chance for a more balanced and happier life, and I say this now without any sensationalist BS. If Vivi fails in front of thousands of blog readers, within the framework of a personalized program where she will receive all the help she needs, then I am almost 100% sure that she won't be able to change later, and the years will just pass, and the aforementioned hole will only get deeper and deeper and deeper... The Slim3 lifestyle changing girls won't have an easy time completing the program, but they MUST complete it, because if they don't, they won't just be spitting in their own faces, but also in the faces of those women who will draw strength and energy from them for their own programs, and they simply cannot do that. If necessary, I will write this a thousand times so that they understand what they have committed to.
In cases of significant overweight, training must be started very cautiously. The spine, knees, and joints are burdened due to the excess weight, and if we add that Vivi has no relationship with movement, then we find ourselves like György Matolcsy and the country when writing the 2012 budget figures, which means we are in deep shit. Vivi's program is 90 days long, and I plan that in the first month, with minimal movement, the emphasis will be on the diet, which she must adhere to very strictly, during which I hope she will lose 8-10 kilos, most of which will, of course, be water. In the second month, the goal will be to increase the intensity of the training, where I expect her to lose an additional 4-6 kilos, while in the third month we will focus on performance enhancement, and gym workouts will also be included. Of course, throughout the 90 days of the program, the diet must be strictly followed, without any deviations or criminal indulgences. I will consider Vivien's program successful if she loses at least 20 kilos. I will consider less weight loss a failure.
We start running from the basics, which will look like 1 minute of jogging, half a minute of walking, then first we reduce the walking time, and later we increase the running duration. This way, we progress gradually until it is no longer about running for time, but about covering distances. I am not writing specific numbers yet; I need to go for a few training sessions with Vivi to see how much she can handle, and what is the load level at which her heart rate remains in the loadable range and does not exceed the critical limit.
Vivien
Well, I won't waste time with a lot of unnecessary things: I'm Vivi, 18 years old, and I've been struggling with my weight since I was 13. For now, they're winning...
I've tried several "miracle cures", such as: Turbo Diet, appetite suppressant capsules, Gastroyal fitness menus. In addition, I actively tried all sorts of super diets that promised 10-15 kilos of guaranteed weight loss in 2-3 weeks. Of course, all of them were only temporary solutions... After a month or two, the lost kilos came back multiplied. One thing, however, belongs to the truth: my parents and acquaintances always told me that without sports, it's all worth nothing. So sometimes I pushed myself to do some exercise: aerobics, jogging, and of course, the indispensable fat-burning DVDs. However, after two or three weeks, I stopped all of them because they didn't bring the results I expected, and frankly, I was too lazy to do anything to look better (pathetic).
I used to love shopping and dressing up, even though I wasn't thin then, but I enjoyed it. Now, however, that has completely changed. I can't stand having to go buy new jeans or a top, not to mention a swimsuit. When I was in eighth grade, I had size 38 jeans, later in high school, I could barely button up size 40 pants, so now I've reached the point where size 42 jeans are also tight.
In the past year, I've gained a lot of weight, partly because I got together with the guy I'd liked for a long time. As Bence also writes,
"You already have the girl, you already have the guy, and then you can look like a pile of shit. For girls, this is doubly, even triply true."
Well, he didn't say anything stupid with that either. I've gained 8 kilos since we got together. The evening gorging and doing nothing have taken their toll. When we went out on weekends and went to the cinema or hung out with our friends, I increasingly noticed that food was always the topic. When are we going somewhere, what are we going to eat, what sauce should I ask for with my nachos, etc... Even then, I felt that I absolutely didn't need these.
In the past few months, several people have commented that I've gained weight. But not "just" my friends and parents (obviously, it hurt the worst from them), but also people on the street whom I only greet. Of course, I dismissed it all by saying, "Well, yes, but only 1-2 kilos." I felt that I had gained weight because I could barely button up my pants, my jackets were tight, and my mood was getting worse and worse. One day I woke up and decided to get on the scale and find out the truth. Trembling, I stepped on it, and when I saw the number of my kilos, I burst into tears. A year ago, I was 74 kg, and now I'm 82. I got very angry with myself, and since my boyfriend also wanted to lose weight, we agreed that we would diet together. I was at home because I go to school twice a week, so I had time to cook. We mostly ate chicken, turkey, fish, rice, and salads. I started to feel better, of course, I didn't want to hear about exercise (shame). I managed to lose 4 kilos in two weeks. So now I weigh 78 kilos at 167 centimeters. That's a lot.
My boyfriend showed me the Lifetilt blog during a trip, as he had been reading it for a long time because of the workouts and interestingly worded articles. I was amazed to see how girls like me got rid of the kilos I hated, so I also started reading the articles that interested me. Then came the big opportunity: Ati excitedly called me one day, as Bence had announced another program on Facebook, this was Slim3...
Of course, my first sentences were: -I never win anything, -He won't choose me anyway, -Oh, this is surely already decided. But in the end, I still sent the pictures and my application for the program.
And for the first time in my life, I won. An opportunity to finally look good and a chance to start a new life: without inhibitions, anxiety, or shame.
When Bence called me and told me we'd meet on Thursday at the athletics track on Margaret Island, I freaked out. I was afraid of making a fool of myself in front of the others, but most of all, of my own pathetic performance. So, the day before the assessment, I went for a run. After 400m, I felt dizzy, sick, and almost threw up. So, I had even less desire for the Thursday meeting than before. It wasn't for nothing that I dreaded this workout, because what I feared proved true: I practically can't do a proper push-up...
A week after the assessment, Bence and I agreed to meet in the evening at Deák Square and go for a run. I'm proud of myself that, with some stops, we ran all the way to the castle, which was quite steep J
I can already feel my progress and I know how much it means to have someone there with me cheering me on...
